I compiled some of my poetry and photography into a booklet as a gift for my friends, and am sharing here with you. I hope you enjoy!
Ah, Love, that frivolous emotion…
Thoughts
Weighted by your missing smile
Mine slips from my lips
Hoping to find yours
And illuminate all the dark corners.

The Magnolia Room
Sailing
Chaldean lover,
Weave your filament magic.
Leave no exit
From your labyrinthine blue.
Mars and Muse divine,
Ascend to cloistered ecstasy.
Forfeit reality.
I will sail with you.
Cynosure
Cynosure of my fancy,
Of my yearning,
Of my wandering dreams.
Satiate my quest with but a smile.
Trembling
Who are you?
Your dark eyes have me mesmerized.
Trembling I speak
Mysteries of magnetic body chemistry revealed.
Can I know?
Do you tremble too?
Cher Maitre
I lay by your side in a mist of dreams,
Scent of jasmine, aurora borealis,
Temple bells and the sound of the sun piercing my fantasy.
Will I see you today?
Tina says, “Love is just a second-hand emotion.” Say it isn’t so.
Just One More
Your first touch so gentle,
The evening we met,
Offering your hand
To get over the step.
Then in the car
For the second time,
Driving back after dinner,
Your hand found mine.
Your first kiss was magic
A secret key
That unlocked a passion
Inside of me.
Then a flood of kisses,
Caresses so dear,
My lips on your lips,
On your cheek,
On your ear,
Your forehead, your neck
And back to your nose.
Your chest and your chin.
Did I miss your toes?
Your arms around me
And mine around you.
Laughing and hugging,
The hours just flew.
Kiss after kiss,
Unlike each one before,
Left my lips longing
For just one more. To TRE
The present we know is only a movie
of the past. -Tom Wolfe
No Fear of Flying
Collie dog hair, a flash of blue,
Invitational voice, an impression of you.
Words. What words? The unspoken few
Forged a place in my mind - And stuck like glue.
An occasional thought, a fantasy
Invasion of dreams. Who can this be?
Questions unanswered. Set my mind free
Of persona defined by my imagery.
Over, under, over, on top

Atlanta at 6am
Spiral through clouds, laughter non-stop.
Tossed on the waves of courting bliss,
Skin flushed with passion
At each tender kiss.
Wake with a smile, oh please don’t go.
Keep my eyes closed. Exit slow.
Sylvan sylph of my slumber, Return this night.
Our tickets are stamped. And ready for flight.
To the moon you say on the wings of love.
Meld our souls gently. We fit like a glove.
Upward archangel, I’ll cling by your side,
To the heaven of heavens
With you as my guide.
“Say and think as you speak it from your souls. Such as we are are made of, such we be.”
-Shakespeare

Lake Tahoe
Meteor
I sleep in a cashmere sweater
Under a cloud of down.
My bed is an island of peace;
My life is a wild West town.
My day moves like a meteor
Blasting through inner space.
I try to put on the brakes
And get home to my quiet place.
I leap past those moments to savor,
My eyes ache to linger on love
Of God’s beauties small and mundane
To the glory of heavens above.
I am awed by the moon and the sunset,
Impressed by the wind and soft rain.
Breathless, I observe all the faces
Revealed in their joy and their pain. Unfinished ode.
Sweet Peril
Since we parted yester eve,
I do love thee, Love, believe,
Twelve hours dearer, twelve hours longer,
One dream deeper, one night stronger,
One sun surer, so much more
Than I loved thee, Love, before.

Folly
Fate – folly is thy name.
Lead me to this vespertine love,
Knowing well our hearts will meld,
Our minds will soar to new heights
Unattainable by unloving mortals.
Our bodies, vessels now of sleeping spirits,
Will couple to insure our oneness.
Broken. The perfection of our union
Will disintegrate and fade
As incense to ashes - scentless and inert.
